In a heinous and tragic act, the oppressive Iranian regime executed a prisoner on Thursday, December 28, in a public execution in Najafabad for killing an SSF (State Security Force) agent nearly 19 years ago. According to state-run media reports, the victim, along with two other individuals accused of murdering an SSF agent during a clash in 2004, was arrested in 2015. After spending eight years behind bars, he was publicly hanged in Najafabad today.

Additionally, on Wednesday, December 27, seven prisoners faced the gallows at the hands of the executioners of the Khomeini regime. Three among them were identified as Esmaeil Ghader Magham (Barahui), Ahmad Gorgij, and another prisoner from the Baluch compatriots. At the same time, Mohammad Hesari in Birjand prison, Akbar Qareghozloo, Ehsan Hamidi, and another prisoner named Ali Akbar in Qezelhasar prison were also executed.

On Tuesday, December 26, the regime’s judiciary executioners carried out the execution of a prisoner named Mohammad Reza Mehraban in Sanandaj Central Prison, and on December 23, four prisoners were executed in Isfahan Central Prison. The names of two of them were announced in a previous statement, and the other two prisoners were named Shir Ali Saeed and Saman Mogoii.

The rising trend of executions, particularly public executions, is being used by the mullahs’ regime as a tool to instill fear and prevent any potential uprisings. Remaining silent in the face of these inhumane crimes goes against well-established human rights principles. The Iranian Resistance calls on the United Nations, the European Union, and other relevant international organizations to take urgent action to save the lives of those on death row. Ali Khamenei, Ebrahim Raisi, and other leaders of this regime must be held accountable for four decades of crimes against humanity and genocide.
