In a strong condemnation of the Iranian regime’s actions, Friends of a Free Iran and Against Fundamentalism have expressed their deepest outrage at the recent executions of three prisoners, Saleh Mirhashemi, Saeed Yaqoubi, and Majid Kazemi, who were executed on the orders of Khamenei in Isfahan. These executions have taken place despite national and international appeals for clemency. The regime’s alarming pattern of repression and violence is further highlighted by the fact that over the past month, 112 prisoners have been executed. In response, the statement calls on the United Nations, the European Union, and member states to strongly condemn these executions and to take immediate and effective measures to compel the regime to halt its cycle of arrests, torture, and executions.

Urgent Call for International Action:
Condemning the Iranian Regime’s Wave of Executions
We condemn in the strongest terms the executions of three prisoners of the uprising, namely Saleh Mirhashemi, Saeed Yaqoubi, and Majid Kazemi, which were carried out this Friday morning on the orders of Khamenei in Isfahan despite national and international calls.

The clerical regime, unable to rule a day without repression and torture, has executed 112 prisoners in less than a month. We call on the UN, the European Union, and member states to condemn the wave of executions and take immediate and effective measures to force the clerical regime to stop the cycle of arrests, torture, and executions.

In addition, diplomatic and economic measures should be considered to exert pressure on the Iranian regime to reform its oppressive policies. Sanctions targeted at key individuals and entities involved in human rights abuses can serve as a deterrent and demonstrate that the international community stands in solidarity with the Iranian people.

While these executions serve as an absolute reminder of the regime’s disregard for human rights and their determination to cling to power at any cost, it is important to recognize that it has not deterred the Iranian people in their quest for freedom, justice, and democratic reforms.

The international community, including governments and the United Nations, must seize this moment to hold the Iranian regime and its leaders accountable for their actions. The gross violation of human rights should not go unnoticed or unpunished. The governments of the world must unite in their condemnation of these executions and put pressure on the Iranian regime to respect the fundamental rights and freedoms of its citizens.
