Iran: Protests and Clashes with Suppressive Forces in Tehran and Other Cities

Nationwide Uprising- No. 45

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the 17th day of the nationwide uprising, protests continued in Tehran and other cities across Iran.

On Tuesday night in Tehran, a large crowd demonstrated in the Sadeghieh district, chanting ‘Death to the dictator.’ Rebellious youths clashed with special units in Haft Howz, Piroozi, Teatr-e Shahr, Ashrafi Esfahani, Tehranpars, and Valiasr. https://www.ncr-iran.org/en/ncri-statements/statement-iran-protest/iran-protests-and-clashes-with-suppressive-forces-in-tehran-and-other-cities/A nighttime demonstration also took place in Ekbatan Town. In Naziabad, regime agents indiscriminately fired pellet guns, injuring several protesters. Earlier on Tuesday morning, mourners at the Behesht-e Zahra cemetery carried the bodies of martyrs while chanting ‘Death to Khamenei’.

In Mashhad, during clashes between rebellious youths and suppressive forces, a regime colonel and three Basij members who were firing at the people were killed.

In Kermanshah, hit-and-run clashes between rebellious youths and suppressive forces persisted throughout the night. In the Taq-e Bostan area, regime agents fired on protesters. The regime has dispatched reinforcements from Qasr-e Shirin, Ravansar, and Javanrud to the city in an attempt to suppress the protests.

A warlike situation has been reported in Shahr-e Babak, Kerman province, where hundreds have been arrested. The city’s intelligence chief was injured during recent clashes. In the city of Kerman, the regime has deployed suppressive forces with heavy weapons. Authorities are reportedly extorting large sums of money from families for the return of martyrs’ bodies.

On Tuesday night, clashes and hit-and-run battles between rebellious youths and special units were reported in Shiraz, Ilam, and Karaj. In Tabriz, intense clashes continued at the Abrasan intersection between rebellious youths and suppressive forces. In Isfahan, rebellious youths set fire to motorcycles belonging to Basij members.
