People gathered outside Gohardasht prison to prevent the execution of two prisoners.
On Sunday night, January 8, the 115th night of the uprising, many areas of Tehran and the cities of Karaj, Isfahan, Mashhad, Babol, Arak, Abdanan, Sanandaj, Mahabad, Javanrud, Hormozgan, and Bandar Abbas were scenes of protests by the people, especially the rebellion youths, against Ali Khamenei.

In Tehran, brave young men and women in Ekbatan, Sattar Khan, Aryashahr, Saadat Abad, Sadeghieh, Haft Hoz, Enqelab, Shariati, Tehranpars, Ferdous Blvd, Tehran subway and Shahr Theater subway staged night demonstrations and chanted, “Death to Khamenei, damned be Khomeini,” “Death to the dictator,” We swear on the blood of those fallen that we will continue this path to the end!”, “This year is the year of sacrifice; Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” “To the Basij & IRGC members: You are our ISIS!”. In the subway of Tehran, the freedom-loving women chanted, “With hijab or without hijab, united onward to the revolution.” In the Shahr Theater subway, the youth chanted, “Death to the child-killing government.” In Ekbatan, the youth chanted in their protest, “Ekbatan is awake; it hates humiliation.”

 

Residents of different areas of Tehran, including Ferdows, Darband, and Moalem Street, chanted, “Death to the dictator,” “Khamenei is a murderer, his rule is illegitimate”, and “The dirty Khamenei, the perpetrator of every crime.”

On Sunday midnight and the early hours of Monday, following the transfer of Mohammad Ghobaloo and Mohammad Boroughani, two protests detainees on death row, to solitary confinement and fearing their execution, their families and several locals protested outside Gohardasht prison and chanted, “For each person killed another thousand will rise!”, and “This is the last message that if you execute, there will be uprising”…

Brave people in Isfahan staged a night demonstration with the slogans “Death to the child-killing government” and “From Zahedan to Izeh, blood is spilling from the homeland.” Residents of Gohardasht in Karaj chanted, “Death to Khamenei,” and “So many years of crimes, death to this regime.” In Babol, Bandar Abbas, and Hormozgan Dashti towns, people chanted “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to the execution republic”, “Freedom, freedom, freedom”, “Khamenei, the tyrant, we will kill you”, “Poverty, corruption, and high prices; we march onwards to overthrow”, “Until the mullahs are not buried, our homeland will not be free”. In Arak and Mashhad, locals chanted in their nightly protest, “This year is the year of sacrifice; Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown.”

In Javanrud, brave youths staged a night demonstration and blocked the street by lighting a fire. In Sanandaj and Mahabad, rebellious youths took control of a street by burning tires. In Abdanan, youths blocked the street by lighting a fire and chanting anti-government slogans; repressive forces attacked them and fired tear gas.

On Sunday morning, the families of the victims of the Ukrainian plane gathered in “Shahid Shahr” where the plane crashed and chanted, “IRGC commits crimes, the judge supports.” The students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Tehran staged a protest rally holding photos of the victims of the Ukrainian plane and sang a patriotic hymn, demanding the release of the arrested students of that university. Repressive agents of the university guard attacked the students who were holding a memorial ceremony for the victims of the Ukrainian plane crash in the fine arts campus of Tehran University. The students protested while chanting, “Shameless, Shameless.” National University students protested with the slogan, “No to prison, no to execution, we will stand to the end.”
