NCRI logoOn Wednesday, May 31, three prisoners, namely Hossein Rousta, Nader Noori, and an unidentified prisoner, were hanged in Gohardasht Karaj prison. In a separate incident, Amir Naroi (Shiranzehi), a fellow Baluch, was executed in Zabul prison.

In addition to the prisoners whose names were announced in the May 28 statement, on Sunday, May 28, a prisoner named Jalil Minaei was hanged in Meshkin Shahr prison, and on Saturday, May 27, two prisoners named Hossein Soltanian and Noorullah Taymuri were hanged in Zahedan prison by regime guards.

The past ten days alone have witnessed the executions of at least 33 prisoners at the hands of Khamenei’s executioners. As the month of May comes to an end, the number of prisoners executed this month alone reaches a staggering minimum of 144.

The Iranian Resistance urges the United Nations, the European Union, and member countries to promptly and effectively intervene against this wave of executions. The lives of those sentenced to death hang in the balance, and urgent action is needed to save them. Failing to respond to the four decades of continuous crimes against humanity committed by this regime contradicts the very principles and foundations upon which the United Nations and the European Union were established.
