Tuesday, October 25, marked the 40th day of the nationwide uprising. The student continued their protests in dozens of universities in Tehran and various cities, chanting, “Death to the dictator,” “Mullahs must get killed,” “This is the final message, the regime itself is the target,” “death to the Supreme Leader after many long years of crimes,” “Mojtaba (Khamenei’s son) we want you dead and will never become the leader,” “For every fallen person, one thousand rises,” “Basij get lost,” “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei),” “Don’t call me seditionist, you tyrant are sedition,” “We don’t want a government that kills children,” “Tehran has become a detention center, Evin has become a slaughterhouse,” “Neither Gaza nor Lebanon, I sacrifice my life for Iran,” “Rootless Basiji, here will not become Sharif,” referring to attack on Sharif University of Technology, “Sanandaj and Zahedan are Iran’s most precious,” “Detained students must be freed.”

Protests took place in Universities across Iran, including Qom Azad, Dezful Azad, Azad Khorasgan, Allamah Tabatabaei, Hakim Sabzevari in Sabzevar, Science and Technology, Foreign Literature of Tehran, Melli, Hamedan Azad, Tehran Technical Faculty, Shahrekord Azad, Al-Zahra, Medical Sciences Ardabil, College of Fine Arts in Tehran, Shahr-e-Rey Yadegar, Chamran, Ahvaz, Soureh, Kerman Azad, Tarbiat Modares Tehran, Azad Punak, Muhajir Isfahan, Azad Shahr Quds, Noshirwani Babol, Hamedan Medical Sciences, Ferdowsi Mashhad, Shiraz Engineering School, and Yazd Universities.

Students at Qom University disrupted the meeting of Ali Bahadori Jahromi, the government spokesman, and chanted, “We don’t want a murderous guest, we don’t want a corrupt system,” “Student will die, but never accept humiliation,” “Freedom, freedom, freedom,” “Killer go out” and “Shame on you! Shame on you.” To prevent the participation of protesters in Jahromi’s speech, the night before the meeting, university officials announced that the meeting had been canceled. Still, at 8:15 the next morning, they announced that the meeting would be held. The participation of a large crowd of students protesting Bahadori’s presence defeated their scheme.

On Tuesday afternoon, a group of students left the university and joined people’s demonstration on Damavand Street and Imam Hossein Square. They blocked the street and chanted, “This year is a year of sacrifice. Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown.” Drivers expressed their solidarity with the protesters by honking their horns.

In Gulbahar in Razavi Khorasan province, the rebellious youth throw Molotov cocktails at the governor’s building. On October 25, the State-run News Agency, Tasnim, citing the southeast Quds base of the IRGC’s Ground Forces, announced, “IRGC Colonel Mehdi Mullashahi and Javad Keikha from IRGC’s Salman Corp of Sistan and Baluchistan Province were shot and killed by unknown persons in the social security square of Zahedan.”

In an obvious terrorist threat, Ebrahim Rezaei, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the regime’s Parliament, wrote on his Twitter on Tuesday: “It is not possible to have unrest in Tehran’s streets, while the streets of NATO are peaceful! Definitely, we will define the field of the conflict outside of Iran as well as the response to it.”
