Iran Nationwide Uprising- No. 71

Students Chant: “Death to Khamenei,” “This Homeland Will Not Be a Homeland Until the Mullahs Are Shrouded,” “Death to the Oppressor, Be It the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei),” and “No Monarchy, No Leadership, Democracy, Equality”
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, marking the fourth day of the nationwide student uprising, universities in Tehran and other cities witnessed widespread student demonstrations, clashes with suppressive forces, and the resonance of anti-regime slogans.

Students at Soore University and the Conservatory gathered, chanting thundering slogans such as “We swear by the blood of our comrades, we stand to the end,” “We don’t want spectators, join us,” and “Basiji, IRGC, you are our ISIS,” expanding the protest atmosphere in the heart of Tehran. Simultaneously, at Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology (Vanak Campus and other faculties) and the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), daring students engaged in fierce clashes with Basij mercenaries and plainclothes agents who attempted to suppress the gathering. Chanting “Scoundrel, scoundrel,” the students forced the mercenaries to retreat.

In these gatherings, students expressed their determination to overthrow the clerical regime with chants of “Death to Khamenei,” “This year is the year of blood, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” “Poverty, corruption, high prices, we march to overthrow,” “This homeland will not be a homeland until the mullahs are shrouded,” and “Students die but do not accept humiliation.” At the National University (Melli), Sharif University of Technology, University of Tehran, and Pars University of Art and Architecture, students, with vigilance and decisive demarcation against any form of dictatorship, chanted “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei)” and “No monarchy, no leadership, democracy, equality.” At the National University, students set fire to images of Khomeini and Khamenei. Regime mercenaries flew quadcopters to identify protesters, provoking the students’ anger and disgust.

At the National University and IUST, Basij mercenaries and security guards attacked students, leading to clashes and injuring a number of students. At Sadjad University in Mashhad, security agents prevented students from entering the gathering site, but the students continued their protest, chanting “Freedom, freedom, freedom.”
