Iran Nationwide Uprising- No. 54
On Tuesday night, January 20, rebellious youths in Tehran’s Atabak district attacked the ‘Malek Ashtar’ Basij base, a center of suppression responsible for the martyrdom of many youths during the uprising. They punished several Basij members, blocked the regime’s supply routes, and set the base ablaze.
On the same night in Zahedan, defiant youths blocked the transportation routes of regime forces with fire, chanting, ‘Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader.’ In Rasht, rebellious youths attacked the criminal Special Units, leading to clashes in the city’s streets.
Simultaneously, clashes between rebellious youths and the criminal IRGC and Special Units erupted in various parts of Kermanshah. In Mashhad, rebellious youths also clashed with the oppressive Special Unit on Tuesday night.
Reports from Kerman and Rasht indicate that the regime is creating mass graves and secretly burying martyrs. Authorities are also extorting exorbitant sums, up to 800 million Tomans, from families in exchange for returning the bodies of their loved ones.
On Monday evening, January 19, the cities of Tehran, Tabriz, and Izeh also witnessed intense confrontations with repressive forces. In Tehran, on Jomhouri Street and Ferdows Boulevard, rebellious youths launched a counter-attack, chanting, ‘Do not be afraid, we are all in this together.’ In Tabriz and Izeh, rebellious youths attacked the Special Units, forcing them to retreat.
