MEPs Urge European Parliament to Take Action Against Iran’s Targeting of MEK

In a collective letter addressed to Charles Michel, President of the European Council, Milan Zver from Slovenia, Ryszard Czarnecki from Poland, and Gianna Gancia from Italy expressed their deep concern over the Iranian regime’s recent conspiracy against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK) and its refugee members. They urgently called on European Union leaders to denounce this unjust action. On July 29, the Iran regime’s judiciary indicted the MEK and 104 related members as well as other members of the Iranian Resistance, many residing in European countries, including Ashraf-3, Albania.

The MEPs emphasized the regime’s attempt to stifle its organized opposition abroad and its disregard for international law. They urged the EU to protect Iranian political refugees, uphold human rights, and ensure justice prevails.
