The United Nations watchdog on Friday said that the Iranian regime has continued to violate all of its restrictions under the terms of the 2015 international nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

In a confidential document to the United Nations members states, which has leaked to the press, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) asserted that the mullahs’ regime has continued to increase its stockpile of enriched uranium in violation of its commitments under the terms of JCPOA.

While the regime wastes national resources to obtain a nuclear bomb, millions of Iranian people are grappling with the coronavirus, and the regime has forced them back to work amid the COVID-19 crisis and refused to financially support them during the quarantine.

The IAEA report reveals that the regime’s enriched uranium stockpile was almost eight times over the limit set under the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.

Kazem Gharib Abadi, the regime’s permanent ambassador to the international organizations in Vienna, Austria, while confirming the IAEA’s recent report, said: “The recent document by the IAEA confirms that Iran is implementing its earlier decision to suspend all of its commitments under the terms of the JCPOA.”

While referring to the IAEA report, Gharib Abadi confirmed that:

Iran’s heavy water production exceeds 130 tons and has reached 132.6 tons.

The regime is using new centrifuges for enrichment, including IR 4, IR 5, IR 6, IRS, IRS 6, and IR.2M in research and development lines.
It is enriching uranium to 4.5%, which exceeds the limit set in the nuclear agreement.
It has produced 1571.6 kg of enriched uranium, which is 550.7 kg more than what it was in March, and 1356.5 kg of uranium with a purity of 4.5%.
These violations are part of what the regime calls its “fifth step” in breaching the JCPOA. The regime started these steps in reducing its commitments to blackmail the signatories of the deal to receive more incentive packages, despite the regime’s illicit activities in the region.

According to Reuters, the IAEA also “expressed serious concern on Friday that Iran has continued for months to deny it access to sites of interest to it, describing previous suspected activities there that could have been part of a nuclear weapons program.”

In an interview with the state-run Fars News Agency on April 5, Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Iranian regime’s Atomic Energy Organization, said: “Nuclear activities, as well as research and development on the nuclear fuel cycle, uranium conversion, and enrichment (including production and storage), are being carried out without any restrictions…. Enriched uranium production and stockpile are now as high as pre -JCPOA period, heavy water storage is being carried out without any restrictions. The process of building the Arak heavy water research reactor (new design) is advancing in cooperation with foreign parties and the use of related equipment.”

Since the early 2000s, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), based on reports obtained by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) through its network inside Iran, has revealed the Iranian regime’s nuclear activities to acquire a nuclear bomb. In fact, if it were not because of the NCRI’s revelations, the international community would have faced religious fascism and the number one state-sponsor of terrorism armed with nuclear bombs. In addition, the NCRI has revealed how the Iranian regime has wasted billions of dollars on the anti-patriotic nuclear program while Iran is rich with natural resources and does not need nuclear power.

The regime’s violations of the JCPOA are a sign of the religious fascism’s desperation. Facing an explosive society and experiencing international isolation and now fearing the post coronavirus pandemic domestic and international situation, the regime tries to grasp at anything to prolong its life. A nuclear bomb will result in this. This indeed brings more pain and suppression for the Iranian people and increasing chaos in the Middle East and around the world.

The Iranian Resistance has repeatedly said that giving more time to the regime and not adopting a firm policy, such as using the JCPOA’s snapback sanctions mechanism and most importantly supporting the Iranian people’s demand for regime change and their right to overthrow the mullahs’ regime, will result in a catastrophe.
