A mouthpiece of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Intelligence Organization acknowledged the impact of Iran’s Resistance on igniting both Iranian society and the international community against the misogynist regime of the mullahs.

Relaying its apprehensions through an interview with an “academic and faculty member,” Mashregh News wrote on April 28, “In the 2000s, Maryam Rajavi wrote a book titled ‘Women, the Force of Change,’ explaining why women are the only force and element capable of bringing about real change in Iran. Based on this Western model, they developed a plan and then started working on the value of hijab and the issue of women, as evident in the Girls of Revolution Street issue.”

As the IRGC Intelligence Organization mouthpiece sought to discredit the widespread support for the Iranian Resistance inside the country, it attributed it to a Western conspiracy. Mashreq News deliberately omitted to mention that the President-elect of the National Resistance Council of Iran (NCRI) is a Muslim and veiled woman. The source further stated, “The Western agenda regarding the hijab issue is carefully orchestrated to encourage Iranian women to remove their head coverings, enabling them to pursue goals predetermined by the West, as women are recognized as agents of change.”

Mashregh News further claimed that “women are the target of foreign media, and that their targeting has been exact because if they want to overcome this system and cause its downfall, it’s better for them to focus on women in society. By using slogans that could draw women into industrial society and diminish religious teachings, they can achieve their goals.”

Meanwhile, on April 29, another outlet run by the IRGC, the Javan newspaper, propagated that the movement advocating “no to compulsory hijab” is nothing but “a big lie, a plot, and a foreign conspiracy.”

It is worth noting that on June 21, 1996, NCRI President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi warned the clerical regime that ultimately they would be overthrown by a force led by Iranian women.

In her speech at a major rally at Earlscourt Hall, in London, she called out the mullahs by saying, “You have done your utmost to humiliate, suppress, torture, and slaughter Iranian women, but rest assured that you would receive the blow from the very force you discounted, the very force whom your reactionary mindset cannot allow you to take into consideration.”
