Coinciding with the clerical regime’s propaganda show of parading corpse of Ali Khamenei, the Resistance Units carried out 30 anti-repression operations in Tehran and 14 other cities on Monday, July 6, 2026. These activities took place amidst the highest security alert by the regime’s repressive forces, marking the anniversary of the June 1992 Mashhad uprising, and were accompanied by slogans such as “Death to the principle of Velayat-e Faqih (absolute clerical rule),” “Long live the Liberation Army,” “Hail to Rajavi,” and “Hail to the National Liberation Army of Iran.”
In June 1992, the extensive protests of the people of Mashhad against the regime’s destructive policies were met with bloody suppression. At the time, the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called the protesters thugs and ordered the repressive forces to “weed them out, harvest them, and throw them away like weeds.”
The regime’s centers and symbols targeted in these operations included:
– Torching joint portraits of Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, and Mojtaba Khamenei in Mashhad and Najafabad
– Torching the logo of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Mashhad
– Torching banners of Ali Khamenei at two locations in Mashhad
– Torching banners of Ali Khamenei at three locations in Tehran, three locations in Isfahan, five locations in Zahedan, and in the cities of Shiraz, Kermanshah, Shahrekord, Ardabil, Birjand, Fasa, Dehloran, and Azna
– Torching banners and portraits of Mojtaba Khamenei in Tehran, Mashhad, Kermanshah, Najafabad, and at two locations in Rezvanshahr
– Torching banners of Qassem Soleimani in Shahrekord and an effigy of Ebrahim Raisi in Alashtar (Lorestan)
