Iran Protest-No. 101

NCRI logoBrave people of Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, resumed their protests this morning in different areas of the city and chanted “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to the dictator,” and “We don’t want a child-killing government.” The youth made strongholds in some streets, lit fires in some areas, including Faizabad, and blocked the roads. They clashed with repressive forces in Karamouzi Street.

Bazaar merchants of Sanandaj, including goldsmiths and shoemakers, as well as bazaar merchants of Saqqez, went on strike in support of the uprising.

In Tehran, university students of Melli, Al-Zahra, Science and Culture, Azad North Tehran, residents and medical students of Khomeini University, as well as students of Shahr-e Ray Azad Universities, Noshirvani Babol, Payam Noor Marivan, Isfahan University of Technology, Shiraz Medical Sciences, Madani Tabriz, and Sistan and Baluchistan started a sit-in protest and chanted “Death to the dictator,” “Imprisoned students should be freed,” and “Whether with hijab or without hijab, towards the revolution.”

High school students in Tehran, Shiraz, Karaj, Marivan, Isfahan, and other cities continued their protests in the streets and chanted, “Death to the dictator,” “This year is the year of sacrifice, Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” and “Students die, but they don’t accept humiliation.”

In Tehran, female students demonstrated in the streets in Baharestan Sultan Abad chanting, “Freedom, Freedom, Freedom,” and female students in Bagheri township in Chitgar chanted, “Death to Khamenei, Damned be Khomeini.”

Rebellion youths set fire to a large poster of Khamenei in Tonekabon and a large picture of Qassem Soleimani in Urmia. Khamenei’s banner on Al-Ghadir Boulevard in Qom was stained red with colored eggs.

Workers of Jam Sanat Karun Company went on strike in Asaluyeh, and the employees of Ahvaz Municipality staged a protest rally. Fearing and worrying that protests might start in Tehran Bazaar, a large number of the regime’s repressive forces entered the Bazaar.

Repressive forces threatened the residents of Ekbatan and Chitgar settlements in Tehran with loudspeakers and said, “If necessary, we will behead our families to maintain the system.”

Seven weeks after the start of the nationwide uprising, Ali Khamenei, who could not quell the uprising despite the brutal killing, plans to launch a nationwide counterdemonstration with students on Friday, November 4, the anniversary of the occupation of the American embassy in 1979. This way, he seeks to counter the slogan “death to Khamenei” that is chanted in the streets, schools, universities, and rooftops of houses. This is while, in the last seven weeks, more than 40 children and teenagers aged 2 to 17 have been killed by repressive forces.
