Simultaneously, three other political prisoners, Abolfazl Rahbar, Omid Rahbar, and Farshid Dolatyari, were transferred from Fashafouyeh to Ghezel Hesar; their charge is membership in the PMOI
On Monday, April 13, 2026, the executioners of the regime’s judiciary violently and brutally transferred seven political prisoners held in Ward 7 of Evin Prison, including Mir Yousef Younesi, born in 1955 (71 years old), to solitary confinement in Unit 3 of Ghezel Hesar Prison. Mir Yousef Younesi was arrested in January 2023 and sentenced to five years in prison.
Another prisoner transferred from Evin is 40-year-old Mehdi Vafaei Sani, who was arrested in May 2022 and sentenced to six years in prison on charges of assembly and collusion against national security, as well as membership in the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Shiva Esmaeili, Mehdi Vafaei’s mother, is a political prisoner held in the Women’s Ward of Evin Prison. She was arrested in Tehran in February 2023 and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Evin’s executioners transferred the seven prisoners while they were handcuffed, shackled, and blindfolded. Before their departure, the guards shaved their heads, severely beat them with water hoses, and injured them. Simultaneously, three other political prisoners, Abolfazl Rahbar, Omid Rahbar, and Farshid Dolatyari, were transferred from Fashafouyeh to Ghezel Hesar. They are charged with membership in the PMOI.
The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN Special Rapporteur and the International Fact-Finding Mission to visit the location where these prisoners are held, to ascertain their conditions and the reasons for their transfer to this notorious slaughterhouse.
