Iran Rises in Unison on the 3rd Anniversary of November 2019 Uprising and Start of 3rd Month of Nationwide Uprising

Protests and clashes in at least 50 universities, 30 sites in Tehran and most provinces, largest merchant strike since the inception of uprising
Since this morning, Tuesday, November 15, on the 61st day of the nationwide uprising and marking the 3rd anniversary of the bloody uprising of November 2019, Tehran and other cities across Iran have risen up with slogans of “Death to Khamenei”, and “Death to the dictator.” Students at universities staged sit-ins and protests, merchants in markets went on strike, and youths in several neighborhoods resumed their protests and clashed with repressive forces.

Based on reports received until 15:00 Tehran time, at least fifty universities, including the largest and oldest universities in the country, were protesting and staging sit-ins. In Tehran, students at Sharif University, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at National University, Central branch of the Azad University of Tehran, Azad University of Tehran- Faculty of Research Sciences, Khajeh Naseer University- Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Law in the University of Tehran, Soureh University, Omran (Construction) University, West Tehran Azad University, University of Science and Culture, Yaftabad Islamic Revolution Technical College, University of Tehran- Pardis College, Tarbiat Modares University, Pars University of Architecture and Art, Abbaspur Branch of National University. Likewise, in other cities, including Azad University in Karaj, Razi in Kermanshah, Khorasgan in Isfahan, Ferdowsi in Mashhad, Jabarian in Hamedan, Azad in Najaf Abad, Mathematics and primary sciences in Gilan, Homayunshahr, Urmia, Yazd, Azadin Tabriz, Jundishapour, Amol, Azad in Abadan, Azad in Rasht, Noshirwani in Babol, Azad in Birjand and technical and occupational faculty of Tabriz University. Faculty of Physical Education of Tabriz University, Isfahan Faculty of Humanities, Azad in Shiraz, Technical Faculty of Shiraz University, Bahoner Technical Faculty of Shiraz, and Isfahan girls Technical College staged their protests and sit-ins.

The students staged their protests chanting, “1500 people perished in Aban (Nov. 2019)”, “All these years of crime, down with the Velayat-e Faqih,” “This is the last message, the regime itself is the target,” “We swear on the blood of those fallen that we will continue this path to the end,” and “We haven’t sacrificed our dearest to appease the murderous [Khamenei].” Students at Tehran University’s Central Campus were confronted by the paramilitary Basij forces. The students at Tehran’s Amir Kabir university clashed with suppressive forces, including plainclothes agents, and punished them.

The largest strike since the beginning of the uprising started today in Tehran’s traditional Bazaar and other cities of the country. In Tehran Grand Bazaar, famous jewelry Bazaar, baggage and suitcase Bazaar, Bookmakers Bazaar, Downtown Bazaar, and in other districts of Tehran such as Abbas Abad, Tajrish, Manochehri, Cheraq Barqh, Tehran-Pars, Pole-Chooby, Parsian, Koucheh Berlan, Sattar Khn, Suhrvardi, Ala-eddin Passage, Sepehsalar went on strike. The merchants in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar chanted, “Death to the dictator” and “This year is the year of sacrifice; Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be toppled”. They torched a motorcycle of the regime’s agents.

Merchants went on strike in most of the cities, including Shiraz, Shahryar, Diesel-abad of Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Oshnavieh, Javanrood, Saqez, Bukan, Baneh, Marivan, Divandarreh, Kamiyaran, Zahedan, Garmsar, Azad Shahr in Yazd, Sabzevar, Kazeroon, Shahrekord, Marv Dasht, Malek Shahr, Isfahan, Rasht, Kish, Bandar Abbas City Center market, Abresan in Tabriz and Abadan.

Public protests have been reported in thirty locations in Tehran until 15:00 pm local time. People of Tehran protested in different locations such as Tehran Metro, Tehran Grand Bazaar, Noor Passage, Koucheh Berlan, Coca-Cola Crossroads, Amir Kabir Street, Cherag Bargh, Sanat Square; region2, Labafinejad district 11, Gharb Township, Kargar south, Valiasr, Baharestan, Nazi Abad, Jumuri Street., Nemat Abad Police Station, District 19, etc., They chanted “Death to the dictator” and set up roadblocks in many places by burning garbage bins and dismantling traffic signs. Brave women of Tehran protested in Kargar Street. In Tehran’s Fath highway, rebellious youths set fire to a motorcycle of the repressive agents. The number of protestors gradually grew in number.

In Sanandaj, rebellious youths protested by setting fires in different streets. In Marv-Dasht, people clashed with the regime’s repressive agents and forced them to flee. Regime’s agents stationed in a mosque began shooting at people. In Shiraz, youths blocked the street by bringing down the road signs. Brave youths of Yazd targeted Khamenei’s representative’s office in the province this morning with Molotov cocktails. In Kermanshah, youths in Imam township protested and set trash bins on fire. Suppressive agents brutally attacked people in Shiraz and broke the windows of the cars and shops belonging to those who were on strike. People gathered and protested in Rasht, Koohdasht in Lorestan, Karaj, Gohardasht, Kerman, Kermanshah, and Homayunshahr. In Isfahan, people clashed with the regime’s security forces. Locals in Chalus (northern Iran) protested, and youths set fire to a police station. In Kermanshah and Gorgan, a Basij base was set alight.

In several schools in Tehran, students chanted, “Death to the dictator” and “Freedom, freedom, freedom.” Female students protested in Labafinejad Street by chanting, “You are lewd; I am a noble woman”, and in Naziabad (south Tehran), students staged their protests by chanting, “I shall kill whoever killed my sister.”
