Mrs. Maryam Rajavi called on students to support teachers’ protests and said: This is an uprising for justice, freedom, and for national sovereignty against a regime that has plundered and destroyed the wealth and assets of the Iranian people.

For the third day running, this morning, teachers and educators in at least 114 cities (29 provinces) rallied against their dire living conditions and low salaries. The teachers from Tehran and Alborz provinces gathered in front of the regime’s parliament in Tehran () and in other cities outside the local education departments.

The State Security Force (SSD), the plainclothes, and Intelligence Ministry’s agents tried to prevent teachers’ gatherings and attacked the rallies in some cities. In Tehran, repressive forces attacked the teachers’ gathering to disperse them but were forced to retreat by protesters who shouted, “Shame on you.” In Mashhad, the repressive forces were taking the teachers as they arrived at the rally inside the education department’s building to prevent them from gathering outside. Despite all these measures, teachers’ gatherings and rallies were held in the largest and most crowded form, and in some cities, such as Shiraz, thousands of teachers showed up at the rally.

In addition to Tehran, teachers’ protests were held in the following cities: Tabriz, Malekan, Jolfa, Urmia, Bukan, Miandoab, Shahin Dej, Ardabil, Isfahan, Najafabad, Tiran and Kron, Baghbahadoran, Golpayegan, Shahin Shahr, Falavarjan , Daran, Fereidan, Ilam, Bushehr, Ganaveh, Jam, Kangan, Borazjan, Shahrekord, Lordegan, Mashhad, Torbat Heydariyeh, Neyshabur, Bojnurd, Birjand, Ahvaz, Andimeshk, Izeh, Ramhormoz, Karkheh, Abadan, Behbahan, Mahshahr, Dezful, Shooshtar, Bandar Khomeini, Aghajari, Baghmalek, Shush, Zanjan, Sojas Rud, Sain Qaleh, Semnan, Shiraz, Firuzabad, Fasa, Nourabad, Eqlid, Galehdar, Marvdasht, Lamerd, Mehr, Khonj, Larestan, Zarrin Dasht, Ghirokarzin, Estahban, Darab, Qazvin, Takestan, Qom, Sanandaj, Marivan, Saqez, Bijar, Kamyaran, Dehgolan, Baneh, Qorveh, Kerman, Sirjan, Shahrbabak, Kermanshah, Eslamabad-e-Gharb, Javanrud, Yasuj, Likak, Gachsaran, Dehdasht, Charam, Dishmok, Gorgan, Rasht, Khorramabad, Delfan, Azna, Dorud, Poldakhtar, Borujerd, Aligudarz, Kuhdasht, Nourabad, Sari, Babol, Fereydunkenar, Amol, Arak, Bandar Abbas, Malayer, Hamedan, Yazd, Khatam, Marvast, Bahabad, Meybod, Mehriz, Bafgh, and Abarkooh.
