Three women’s rights activists sentenced to 31 years in jail

In addition to Yasaman Aryani, Monireh Arabshahi and Mojgan Keshavarz, Narges Mansouri was also sentenced to six years’ imprisonment.

Yasaman Aryani and Monireh Arabshahi both were sentenced to 9 years and 7 months and Mojgan Keshvarz was sentenced to 12 years and 7 months imprisonment.

Attorneys were not allowed to enter the court in the first instance and at the appeal. The court also refused to receive a defense bill from the three women’s rights activists.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Friday, February 7, 2020, marks the 85th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 724 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
