On Tuesday, November 22, making the 68th day of the nationwide uprising, many universities were scenes of sit-ins and protests in support of the people of Kurdistan. Universities of Sharif, Kurdistan; Faculty of Electrical and Computer Science of Melli, Allameh; Faculty of Psychology of Tehran, Bushehr’s Khalij Fars, Babol, Tabriz Medical Sciences, Razi of Kermanshah are among them. The students chanted slogans such as “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to the dictator,” and “Student! Teacher! Worker! Get united, Get united”.

A large rally was held at the University of Kurdistan, where professors and staff joined the students in protesting the suppression and killing of the people of Kurdistan. Security guards at Razi University arrested several students. In some universities, suppressive agents attacked students, leading to clashes and confrontations between them. At Tehran’s Sharif University, students put up resistance against the security forces and plainclothes agents trying to bar them from converging.

Schoolgirls in Tehran’s Abdul Abad region and some other areas of the capital, also in Karaj, staged their protests in the streets by chanting “Freedom, Freedom, Freedom,” ” We haven’t sacrificed our best ones to appease the murderous [Khamenei],” and ” “Shame on our disgraced leader.”

Simultaneously, the merchants and petite shop owners went on strike in Sanandaj, Saqqez, Piranshahr, Ravansar, Ushnavieh, Bukan, Kamiyaran, Margur, Urmia, and many other cities.

In Tehran today, people protested in the Bagh-e Sepehsalar region by chanting “Death to the dictator.”

A group of the regime’s parliament deputies presented a bill against the students today for approval, according to which “if students break the norms in universities and commit crimes such as creating chaos and mayhem, destroying properties, insulting the sacred, etc., they will be doomed to pay their complete tuition fees, and banned from leaving the country for ten years.” (State-run Etemad website – November 22, 2022)

The employees and drivers of Tehran’s Akbarabad terminal protested and went on strike today, chanting ” Proud drivers, strike, strike ” and ” Have no fear, we are all together.” A special unit of security forces was dispatched to the terminal to suppress the drivers. The employees of Bahman Motor Automobile Company also went on strike chanting, “Our income is in Dollars while we are paid in Rials (Iranian currency).” Workers in Asalouyeh, the South Pars Gas Complex of the 11th Refinery, went on strike. The workers in the petrochemical industry also staged their strikes in Masjed Soleiman. The staff of Emergency unit 115 in Mashhad began their strike.
