On Friday, January 6, the 113th day of the nationwide uprising, the people of Zahedan staged mass demonstrations after the Friday prayers in the streets of Zahedan chanting “Death to Khamenei, damned be Khomeini,” “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei),” “This year, is a year of sacrifice, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” “Death to the dictator,” “Death to the Supreme Leader (Khamenei),” “Death to the IRGC,” ” Death to the Supreme Leader after many long years of crimes,” “I will kill whoever killed my brother,” “Death to the Basiji Governor,” “We don’t want a Basiji as the Governor,” “We are ready to fight, fight and we will fight back,” “We are ready to die, we will stand until the end,” “I will kill the one who killed my brother,” “We do not want child-killer rulers,” “No to monarchy no to the leader (Khamenei), we want democracy, equality,” “No to Shah or the mullah, clerical rule is finished,” “We either die or we will win,” “Silence means slavery, we are alive with resistance” and “From Zahedan to Izeh, our homeland is bleeding.” The mass protest took place despite the intense security measures and the presence of suppressive forces and widespread arrests.

The brave women of Zahedan took an active part in this demonstration and chanted “Death to Khamenei,” “Political prisoners must be released,” “With hijab or without, onward to revolution,” “Kurds and Baluch are brothers, hate the Leader (Khamenei) to death” and “Shia and Sunni are united, Khamenei’s eyes are blind.” They were carrying leaflets that read “Don’t threaten us with the kidnapping of our youth, we will take their revenge after the victory.”

Last week, the IRGC and other suppressive forces in Sistan and Baluchistan made widespread arrests in Zahedan and other cities in the province, in order to prevent another uprising on Friday. The suppressive forces set up checkpoints, blocking people’s paths, including Shirabad and Karimabad paths so that they could not reach Makki Mosque for the prayers.

Mohammad Righi, 29, who was injured in the abdomen by a direct shot on Bloody Friday in Zahedan on September 30, died in Khatam Al-Anbia Hospital in Zahedan today after enduring pain for three months.

On Tuesday, January 3, the regime’s judiciary in Zahedan sentenced to death a young man arrested during the uprising in this city, named Mansour Dahmardeh, who suffers from a physical disability.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said that despite the suppressive measures, the Baluch compatriots showed that the people of Iran want the overthrow of the regime and the establishment of democracy and people’s sovereignty.
