Mrs. Maryam Rajavi calls on students, teachers, and university students across the country to support the protesting students, stating: ‘Solidarity, perseverance, and expanding protests are the only way to achieve demands.’
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, student protests against the policies of the regime’s so-called Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution expanded to various cities across the country. Students in dozens of cities, including Tehran, Karaj, Khorramabad, Shiraz, Ahvaz, Rasht, Mashhad, Kermanshah, Sari, Arak, Qom, Tabriz, Isfahan, Dorud, Bojnourd, Birjand, Ardabil, Yasuj, Hamadan, Qazvin, Kerman, Borujerd, Yazd, and other areas, demanded justice in the educational system.
Students fed up with systemic bias and injustice expressed their anger and outrage at the oppression and discrimination of the mullahs’ regime by chanting slogans such as ‘Do not fear, do not fear, we are all together,’ ‘Students, raise your voice, demand your rights,’ ‘Students may die, but they do not accept humiliation,’ and ‘We have seen no justice, only empty promises.’ Under the current system, the vast majority of those who pass the university entrance exam (Konkur) are those who attend private schools and are affiliated with the regime and wealthy classes, while the children of underprivileged sectors lack even the basic facilities for education.
The students chanted against mullah Abdul-Hossein Khosropanah, the secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution: ‘Khosropanah, have some shame, let go of the students,’ and ‘Khosro, come out!’ Khosropanah, who was appointed to this post in 2022 by Ebrahim Raisi, the henchman of the 1988 massacre, was blacklisted by the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States in 2023 for gross human rights violations.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, saluted the protesting students and called on all students, teachers, and university students across the country to support them. She emphasized that solidarity, perseverance, and expanding protests are the only ways to achieve the students’ legitimate demands.
