NCRI logoMrs. Maryam Rajavi: Appeasement of religious fascism, which only remains in power through executions at home and terrorism and warmongering abroad, has encouraged it to continue and intensify its crimes at home and endanger peace and security in the region and the world.

The wave of mass executions continues in fear of the uprising of the people. Only in five days from December 27 to 31, at least 30 prisoners were hanged by the executioners of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Today, December 31, on the last day of the Gregorian calendar, at least seven prisoners, Shir Ahmad Sanjrani and five other prisoners in Birjand Central Prison and Noor Ahmad Qalandarzehi in Shiraz Central Prison were hanged by the executioners. On Saturday, December 30, Abdul Shavali was executed in Qezelhessar Prison.

On Friday, December 29, the regime’s judiciary news agency reported the execution of four prisoners in Urmia Prison named Wafa Hanareh, Aram Omari, Rahman Parhazu, and Nasim Namazi on charges of spying for Israel. According to the regime’s judiciary news agency, the case has 10 defendants. The other defendants have each been sentenced to 10 years in prison. These hasty executions, accompanied by forced confessions, were carried out in retaliation for the killing of IRGC Brigadier General Reza Mousavi in Syria. On the same day, Asger Abdullah Parikhani was executed in Meshkinshahr Prison.

On Thursday, December 28, in addition to one prisoner who was hanged in public in Najafabad, Karim Emami Khah in Bandar Abbas Central Prison, Hassan Rahbar in Gorgan Central Prison, Reza Eeyvazi in Kashan Prison, and one prisoner in Yazd Central Prison were executed by the criminal agents of Khamenei. On Wednesday, December 27, 12 prisoners were also executed in the prisons of Birjand, Hamadan, and Qezelhessar.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the elected president of the Iranian Resistance, described the wave of mass and hasty executions and the execution of 30 prisoners in the past 5 days as an unprecedented record of cruelty and crime. She said that silence, inaction, and appeasement with religious fascism, which only remains in power by relying on torture, killing, and execution at home and terrorism and warmongering abroad, has encouraged this regime to continue and intensify its crimes at home and endanger peace and security in the region and the world.
