The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced this afternoon, Friday, May 1, 2020, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 309 cities in Iran had exceeded 38,000. The number of victims in Tehran is 6,400, Qom 3,190, Gilan 2,630, Mazandaran 2,360, Alborz 1,250, West Azerbaijan 1,170, Sistan and Baluchestan 990, Bushehr 420, Ilam 270, and South Khorasan 122.

Despite Hassan Rouhani’s lies, last night, Mohammad-Reza Zafar-Ghandi, head of the Medical System Organization, told the state-run Mehr news agency, “Certainly the announced statistics are different from the reality … Many people do not have the symptoms, and (therefore) laboratory tests are not performed on them. Moreover, about 40% of laboratory tests are false negatives.”

Today, the spokesman for the regime’s Health Ministry said, “We have seen an increase in the number of Coronavirus infections in 5 to 7 provinces, and in recent days the provinces of Tehran, Fars, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, and several other provinces have reported an upward trend in the infections.”

On Tuesday, April 28, speaking to Mehr news agency, Kambiz Mehdizadeh, the vice president of the university of medical sciences in Birjand reported of “ascending trend of infections to Coronavirus in Southern Khorasan.”

Today, the regime’s official news agency, IRNA, cited the statistics from Mazandaran Province’s Medical Sciences University, which showed that the number of COVID19 patients “has been on an increasing trend and the number of newly hospitalized patients has surpassed those released.”

In Bushehr, Saeed Kashmiri, the Secretary for the National Coronavirus Task Force, told IRGC’s Journalists Club today, “The increase in the number of patients is concerning.”

Also, today, Shokrollah Salman-Zadeh, head of the Medical Sciences University in Abadan, spoke of “a dramatic rise in infections in the southwest of Khuzestan,” according to Fars News Agency.

Last night, the state TV reported, “In Khuzestan Province, the number of people testing positive has dramatically risen. In Ahvaz, it has increased astronomically. Dezful and Shushtar also have high numbers… We are overtaking everyone else. The danger is waiting in the wings. Statistics are high. Razi Hospital is full.” Mashkournia, East Ahvaz Health Center Chief explicitly said, “Currently, there are no regions in Ahvaz, which could be termed as virus-free. All Ahvaz regions are stricken with the virus.”

Nine Provinces, Tehran, Fars, Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan, Bushehr, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Mazandaran, and Khuzestan, where regime officials are admitting an increase in Coronavirus infection comprise 43 million people or 52 percent of Iran’s population.
