Iran: Calling for an Immediate Meeting of UN Special Rapporteur with Farhad Meysami and Other Political Prisoners

NCRI logoWarning about the extremely dire conditions of political prisoners in Iran, the Iranian Resistance requests an immediate meeting of Mr. Javaid Rahman, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Iran, with Mr. Farhad Meysami (in Gohardasht prison) and other political prisoners who are in a dire situation, including Mr. Ali Moezzi and Ms. Zahra Safaei (in Evin prison).

The international community, especially the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations Human Rights Council, should force the clerical regime to accept the Special Rapporteur’s visit to the regime’s prisons and his unconditional access to the prisoners.

If the regime’s judiciary and its so-called human rights headquarters are telling the truth that Farhad Meysami “has not gone on a hunger strike” and “his general condition is good”, they should accept the Special Reporter’s meeting with him.
