Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 409 Cities Exceeds 96,900

ISNA News Agency: There is still no plan in Tehran to install separate waste tanks for Coronavirus waste, and for collecting protective equipment like masks, gloves, etc., which will intensify the spread of the virus.

‌Medical schools in Ahvaz and Abadan reported an increasing trend in Coronavirus infections and hospitalizations.
The National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) in Bushehr: 52 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, 19 of whom are breathing with the help of ventilators. Five people died to Coronavirus in the Province on Friday, including a 6-day-old baby girl.
Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences: 246 Coronavirus patients are hospitalized in the Province, 55 of them are in ICU, and 22 are in critical condition. So far, 691 people have died due to Coronavirus.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, August 30, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 409 cities across Iran had unfortunately passed 96,900. The number of victims in Tehran is 23,545, Mazandaran 4,693, Isfahan 4,369, Lorestan 4,217, Fars 2,718, Kermanshah 2,298, Kerman 1,553, North Khorasan 1,534, Central Province 1,251, Qazvin 834, Ilam 825, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 610.

While the regime’s officials and experts warn against the escalation of the Coronavirus outbreak as a result of holding Muharram mourning ceremonies, in a conversation with the Health and Interior Ministers, today, Rouhani “expressed satisfaction and congratulated them for the strict observance of health instructions by the trustees, preachers, and mourners.” In response to the concerns of the ministers of health and interior about the new wave of summer travels, he said: Those who have traveled during the recent holidays should not allow the re-emerging of the virus by not observing the hygiene protocols and in this way hurt the day-to-day and exhausting efforts of medical staff in the face of the second wave of Coronavirus.” Thus, Rouhani who is well aware of the upcoming escalation of the Coronavirus catastrophe as a result of government policies in holding Mourning ceremonies in the coming weeks and months wants to deceitfully absolve the mullahs, and regime preachers of responsibility ahead of time and blame the people for the next wave of the Coronavirus.
