Coinciding with the anniversary of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners, on Friday, August 7, 2026, despite intense security measures and surveillance cameras, the PMOI Resistance Units carried out 60 daring operations against centers of suppression, government institutions, and symbols of the Velayat-e Faqih (clerical rule) dictatorship. These operations were launched in Tehran and 26 other cities, including Kermanshah, Ardabil (Angut), Khorramabad, Mashhad, Pishin, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Urmia, Kerman, Zahedan, Neyshabur, Qaemshahr, Borazjan, Saravan, Aligudarz, Iranshahr, Khash, Bushehr, Susangerd, Astara, Bandar Ganaveh, Chabahar, Zehak, Malard, and Semirom.

The targeted centers and institutions of suppression include:

– Torching and explosions at 9 IRGC Basij bases in the cities of Kermanshah, Tehran, Mashhad, Zahedan, Iranshahr, and Urmia.

– Explosions targeting a center of the regime’s judiciary in Ardabil (Angut).

– Torching of 5 centers of suppression and propaganda, namely the mullahs’ religious seminaries (Howzeh), in the cities of Mashhad, Shiraz, and Aligudarz.

– Torching of a government center of plunder and suppression, namely the district office (Bakhshdari) in Pishin (Sistan and Baluchestan Province), and another government center of suppression and propaganda in Aligudarz.

Furthermore, symbols of the dictatorship, including banners and posters of Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei, Mojtaba Khamenei, Qassem Soleimani, and other defunct regime ringleaders, were set on fire in various cities. During these operations, slogans such as ‘Death to the principle of Velayat-e Faqih,’ ‘Long live the National Liberation Army of Iran,’ and ‘Hail to Rajavi’ resonated.
