One execution every three hours
The killing machine of the religious dictatorship ruling Iran, fearing a popular uprising, has once again accelerated. In just four days, from Saturday, June 13 to Tuesday, June 16, at least 31 prisoners were sent to the gallows, averaging one execution every three hours.
On Saturday, June 13, the regime’s henchmen hanged eight prisoners in Ghezel hessar Prison: Seyyed Akbar Bani-Hashem, Amir-Abbas Dekavand, and six others whose identities have yet to be verified.
On Sunday, June 14, ten prisoners were sent to the gallows: Hassan Hosseini Narouei and Ali-Bakhsh Raeisi (27 years old), both Baluch compatriots, in Zahedan; Majid Zarrinpour in Shiraz; Saadan Hasani in Hamedan; Amin Rajabian in Shirvan; Ali Alipour (24 years old) in Amol; Mohammad Javad Salmani (23 years old) in Kashan; Seyyed Adnan Mousavi in Ahvaz; Hassan Fatemi (24 years old) in Sari; and Amir Kaffashi (35 years old) in Shiraz.
On Monday, June 15, eight prisoners were executed: Mohammad Amin Narouei and Balal Saadat-Jahani (Gorgij, 35 years old) in Birjand, both Baluch compatriots; Aram Zarei in Sanandaj; Hamidreza Afsharipour, Mohammadreza Gashool, and Fariborz Jafari (27 years old) in Isfahan; Rasool Atapour in Tabriz; and Ali (Alireza) Ahmadi Balesini (Ali Balance) in Qezelhessar.
On Tuesday, June 16, five prisoners were sent to the gallows: Omar Shahbakhsh and Ghafoor Shahbakhsh, Baluch compatriots, in Yazd; and Mahmoud Ahmadi in Sanandaj. The names of the other two victims were mentioned in the previous statement.
The Iranian Resistance once again urges the United Nations, human rights organizations, the European Union, and its member states to take urgent action to halt the machinery of execution and killing in Iran.
