Mrs. Maryam Rajavi: The execution of rebellious youths and PMOI members indicates the regime’s fear of the uprising and is a clear confession that its main enemy is the Iranian people and the Resistance.
Call on the international community to condemn the continuous executions to adopt practical measures by the UN Security Council to save prisoners’ lives.
At dawn today, Sunday, April 5, two brave rebellious youths, Shahin Vahedparast, 31, and Mohammad-Amin Biglari, 19, who were among the youths driving the January uprising, were executed and hanged by the executioners of the mullahs’ regime on charges of “moharebeh” (waging war against God) and “corruption on earth.”
The regime’s judiciary announced this morning that Mohammad-Amin Biglari and Shahin Vahedparast “attacked a classified military location and, while participating in the destruction and arson of this sensitive site, attempted to gain access to the armory.” It added: During the January uprising, “police stations, Basij bases, and other prohibited military sites were among the sensitive points that terrorists intended to infiltrate,” and they “attempted to steal weapons and military equipment, which remained unsuccessful” (Mizan, April 5).
The regime’s judiciary is referring to a courageous attack by rebellious youths on the 185th Basij Base of the IRGC on Damavand Street in eastern Tehran. During this attack, which occurred during the uprising of January, the youths set the base on fire and confiscated some of its weapons.
On Tuesday, March 31, Mohammad-Amin Biglari and Shahin Vahedparast, along with three other rebellious youths, Amirhossein Hatami, Abolfazl Salehi, and Ali Fahim, were transferred to solitary confinement in Ghezel Hesar Prison in preparation for their executions. Eighteen-year-old Amirhossein was hanged on April 2. According to the Mizan news agency, Amirhossein had stated during interrogation: “My goal in participating in the riots was to overthrow the system, and I attacked and entered this location with the aim of finding firearms and ammunition” (Mizan, April 2).

These rebellious youths were sentenced to death by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by the cruel executioner Abolqasem Salavati, and their sentences were upheld by Branch 9 of the Supreme Court of the regime’s judiciary.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), described the brutal executions of the brave rebellious youths Mohammad-Amin Biglari and Shahin Vahedparast as indicative of the mullahs’ regime’s desperation in the face of an angry public, as well as its fear of an escalating uprising and the overthrow of the system. She stated that the serial executions of heroic PMOI members and rebellious youths amidst a foreign war are a clear confession that the regime’s main enemy is the Iranian people and the Resistance. She added that this unaccountable bloodletting will not go unanswered by the combatants of freedom and rebellious youths, who will forever dismantle the religious dictatorship from the land of Iran.
Mrs. Rajavi once again called on the international community to condemn the continuous executions and demanded urgent, binding decisions by the United Nations Security Council to halt these criminal acts. She urged immediate action to save the lives of imprisoned PMOI members, activists, and rebellious youths who are at risk of execution throughout Iran.
