In a widespread display of dissent, various groups across different regions of Iran voiced their grievances through protests on Saturday, April 13.

In eastern Isfahan, farmers and legal landowners of the Zayandehrud region rallied once again, demanding justice and fair treatment. Armed with their agricultural tools, they called for their fundamental rights to be respected, emphasizing livelihood security, access to clean air, and the preservation of their unique way of life. Their chants echoed solidarity with the broader Iranian community, particularly the central plateau of Iran, underscoring their resilience against perceived injustices imposed by the ruling regime.

Simultaneously, healthcare workers from Ahvaz joined the chorus of dissent, protesting issues such as unpaid wages and alleged exploitation. Nurses from Golestan and Baghai Hospitals in Ahvaz, southwest Iran, decried forced overtime work, unpaid wages, and changes to tariff laws. In Baghmalek, southwest Iran, healthcare workers rallied in front of the governorate, protesting their poor work and living conditions.

The protests also reached Tehran’s Chitgar District, where applicants for the “Nature Zone” housing project demonstrated against its abrupt construction halt. Matters escalated during a meeting between project applicants and Amir-Jafar Aghaee, the CEO of the Army’s Cooperative Foundation, held at the Diamond Trade Complex. Protestors accused Jafary of misconduct, resulting in his forceful ejection from the session amidst chants of “Shame on you!”

These demonstrations reflect the deep-seated discontent permeating various sectors of Iranian society, with citizens across different regions voicing their dissatisfaction with the regime’s policies and practices.
