During the bi-annual telethon, Iranians from across the globe expressed their full support for the Iranian people’s November uprising and the opposition group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran, PMOI, also known as the Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK. Exiled Iranians also expressed solidarity with the risen people of Iran and the nationwide Iran protests and the MEK’s Resistance Units in Iran.

Iranian people and the MEK’s Resistance Units sent messages of support and gratitude to the satellite television station.

The total amount of financial support provided reached $6.92 million, once again signaling the Iranian opposition’s complete independence and their willingness to support those who are leading the effort to free them from religious tyranny.

Kaveh from the northern Iranian city of Ramsar called in to say: “My dear countrymen. I am a worker who has felt injustice with my skin and bones. I appeal to each of my compatriots: Help Simaye Azadi. I am suffering from cancer. I ask everyone who’s listening to each help $10 to INTV.”

One caller from the southern Iranian city of Shiraz, which was the scene of huge anti-regime protests in November, said: “Simaye Azadi is the voice of the voiceless. It’s the voice of justice for our people. It’s the voice of a people who’ve been described [by the regime] as rioters and thugs so that they could be suppressed and murdered under this pretext. So, support for this voice is tantamount to supporting the rights of the Iranian people.”

In addition to its financial independence provided by the help of viewers, the channel is also full of information and ideas by its community that participates either live in many programs, or by sending on social networks.

A very important characteristic of the INTV’s 24th telethon could be seen in the Iranian people’s utter pride over the November Iran protests and the MEK Resistance Units’ key role in further encouraging the Iranian people in their struggle against Iran’s regime. Exiled Iranians across the globe pledged their allegiance with their risen compatriots across Iran, especially the families of over 1,500 martyrs slain by the vicious mullahs’ regime during the November Iran protests.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), sent a message emphasizing how dear Iranians across the world welcomed this 24th INTV telethon and expressed their support for the overthrow of the Iranian regime. This is a strong indication of national solidarity and how Iranians yearn for freedom, and their admiration for the PMOI/MEK and the network of the Resistance Units inside Iran, Mrs. Rajavi added.

The MEK expressed its utter gratitude for the support shown by millions of Iranians inside the country and abroad, and once again expressed its absolute dedication to continuing the relentless struggle aimed at establishing freedom, democracy, human rights and equality for the proud people of Iran.

The Iranian regime has often complained of the danger of satellite channels because of their popularity, especially Simaye Azadi, which is a very popular channel inside Iran
