Nine executions on Monday and Tuesday; more than 400 executions since the beginning of 2023
In a state of fear from popular uprisings and in an attempt to intensify an atmosphere of intimidation and terror, the regime led by Khamenei continues to execute a growing number of prisoners every day.

On Tuesday, July 18, five prisoners were hanged. Siyamak Hayatbini, Moslem Havasi, and Seyyed Mansour Seyyedi were executed in Qezelhesar Prison, Habibollah Ilkhani in Kermanshah Central Prison, and Qasem Seyyed Hosseini in Urmia Central Prison. On Monday, July 17, Mohsen Yaghooti and Hamza Farrokhi were executed in Hamedan Central Prison, Mojtaba Emami in Sari Central Prison, and Sangar Khodaverdi in Naghadeh Prison.

On Sunday, July 16, a Baluch compatriot named Gholam Sadiq Hormozi was executed in Bandar Abbas Central Prison, and on Saturday, July 15, another Baluch compatriot named Vahed Bamari was executed in Iranshahr Prison, along with Jahedollah Ma’ruf, an Afghan prisoner, who was hanged in Isfahan.

In addition to the five prisoners whose execution was announced in the NCRI statement on July 13, two more prisoners named Hossein Dolakhani and Amir Eslam Doust were hanged in Urmia Central Prison on July 13.

Thus, the number of documented executions since the beginning of 2023 surpasses 400 individuals.

The cessation of executions and oppression is tantamount to the end of the clerical regime’s fascism. The inaction of the international community in the face of this wave of executions encourages this regime to continue its crimes against humanity. The Iranian Resistance once again calls upon the United Nations, the European Union, and member states to take immediate and effective action to save the lives of death row prisoners.
