10 computer sets and several boxes of spare parts and tool boxes belonging to the 5th group of Ashraf residents have been stolen from the containers in the cargo destined to Camp Liberty.
These containers were the belongings of the 5th group of Ashraf residents left in the loading area promised to be transferred to Camp Liberty by the Iraqi forces on May 6 and 7, but they refused to do it. After the residents took the shipments back into Ashraf, they found out that one of the container’s lock was broken and nine Optiplexi Computers from Dell Company and one 945-Computer plus one monitor and several boxes of spare parts and tool boxes of computers were stolen by Iraqi forces (the photograph of the container and empty shelves is attached).
While the Iraqi government is preventing Iraqi merchants from entering Ashraf to purchase items and while it continues to impede any contract agreements between residents and Iraqi businessmen, looting of the residents’ belongings has increased by Iraqi forces during recent weeks.
It is noteworthy that the Iranian Resistance, in its previous statements, had warned against the plans of Iranian regime and its Iraqi proxies for stealing and confiscating Camp Ashraf properties, and called for prevention of plundering of the residents’ belongings.
