MEP Ryszard Czarnecki’s Video Message To Iranian Protestors

Dear Iranian friends,

Dear brave members of the resistance units all across Iran.

From the center of European democracy, I send my best wishes to the brave people of Iran, especially the courageous women who are leading the uprising against the mullahs and the religious dictatorship.

I want to tell the Resistance Units in Iran, who are helping people organize and spread the uprising to all corners of Iran, your courage and struggle inspire us in the EU and the European Parliament. We stand with you to the end and promise to do our best to make sure those who are cracking down on your legitimate demands for freedom and democracy and those who deny you your fundamental rights are held accountable.

As the regime is using deadly violence against the protesters and is shutting down the Internet to crush the uprising, you, the people of Iran, are entitled to defend yourself as written in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Finally, my colleagues and I know that there is an Iranian democratic alternative, which is viable and expresses the true democratic aspirations of the Iranian people, and that alternative is led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi and the Resistance movement she leads. Mrs. Rajavi and the largest Iranian opposition, the PMOI, have been at the forefront of the struggle for freedom in Iran and will make sure the Iranian people will establish a free and democratic Iran, which is now within reach.

I wish you all safety and more strength.

We stand with you until the day we celebrate your victory over the mullahs in Tehran.
