Regime imposes new restrictions prior to Student Day anniversary

The clerical regime has banned passenger buses and minibuses from other cities into Tehran on December 7 in fear of student and popular protests against it on Student Day.

“Repairs” scheduled for December 7 will also reduce the amount of traffic to and from metro stations.

Obtained reports indicate that the clerical regime intends to conduct a maneuver in Tehran on December 5 and 6 in order to prevent protests.

December 7, known as Student Day in Iran, is the anniversary of the murder of three University of Tehran students in 1953. The anniversary has turned into an annual practice of expressing opposition to the clerical regime by students at various universities in Iran.
