The commander of the Iranian regime’s terrorist Qods Force, who has been designated as a terrorist by the US State Department, has been promoted to the rank of Major General by the mullahs’ Supreme Leader.
Qassem Soleimani has been named a Major General in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) by Ali Khamenei.
The state-run Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the IRGC, described Soleimani’s extraterritorial terrorist operations as “very sensitive posts in IRGC” and wrote, “The senior IRGC commander held very sensitive posts after the [Iran-Iraq] war. In the late 1990s, he was appointed as the commander of the Qods Force by the Commander-in-Chief.”
The Qods Force was listed as a terrorist organization by the US four years ago.
