Political prisoner refused hospitalization despite fighting cancer

A political prisoner in Iran, whose physical condition is critical as a result of his fight against cancer, has been returned by the regime to Gohardasht prison, according to Harana news agency on Thursday.

Mohsen Dokmechi was hospitalized Thursday morning in Tehran, but was returned to the prison in Karaj because of “deficiencies” in his medical record.

His family had already shouldered all the costs for his hospitalization.

According to the report, the regime’s agents in prison had transferred Mr. Dokmechi, who even has trouble standing up, to the hospital in Tehran while his hands and feet were in chains.
