Last November, Iran was the site of a nationwide uprising by anti-government activists. After an increase in the government-set price of gasoline sparked a spontaneous outpouring of popular rage and protesters in more than 200 cities and towns quickly began to endorse a message of regime change.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, June 1, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 48,500 in 324 cities across Iran. 10200 in Tehran, 3690 in Khuzestan, 1520 in Sistan and Baluchistan, 1510 in Lorestan, 1115 in Kermanshah, 565 in Kerman, 295 in Kohgiluyehn and Boyer Ahmad, 230 in Hormozagan. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The Iranian regime’s Minister of Interior, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, on Saturday announced that between 200 and 255 people lost their lives during the nationwide Iran protests. Although he tried to downplay the regime’s brutality after seven months of silence, the international community must consider this a crime against humanity and regime’s officials should be prosecuted for it.

This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The disturbing and tragic news of a 13-year-old Romina Ashrafi being beheaded with a sickle by her own father in Iran, described as an “honor killing,” has been circulating on the web. This news is indeed sad, but so is the killer not being punished in Iran under the misogynist laws of the mullahs’ regime.
