Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian resistance, called on international community to condemn brutal suppression of Iranian people’s uprising across Iran on Sunday which led to the martyrdom of a number of demonstrators, wounding of many more, and the apprehension of a great number of people.
Among those killed by the suppressive forces in Sunday’s demonstrations were Hamed Nour-Mohammadi, a university student from Shiraz.
While paying homage to these martyrs, Mrs. Rajavi said these atrocities and savageries will never be able to save Khamenei and his decadent and faltering regime from inevitable downfall; the Iranian people’s uprising will continue till realizing the slogans ‘Down with Khamenei’ and ‘Down with the principle of velayat-e fagih’. The arrest, torture and murder of demonstrators and execution of political prisoners will accelerate the trend regime change.
Mrs. Rajavi said: Now that the waves of change have spread all over the Middle East and North Africa, continuation of appeasement policy toward the religious fascism ruling Iran is more harmful than ever and is doomed to failure. The inhumane regime of Iran does not deserve to be a member of international community; it must be expelled from the United Nations and comprehensive sanctions must be imposed on it.
