Iran: Nightly Demonstrations in Tehran, Other Cities, Setting Fire to Regime’s Centers and Symbols on 48th Night of Uprising

NCRI logoOn Wednesday night, November 2, the 48th night of the uprising, Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, Mashhad, Hamedan, Ramsar, Sanandaj, Bukan, Marivan, Saqqez, Khash and many other cities witnessed nightly demonstrations chanting, “Death to Khamenei” and “Death to the dictator.” The youth resisted savage attacks by the suppressive forces by lighting fires and blocking the roads.

Tehran residents held nightly demonstrations in various areas, including Amirabad, Chitgar, Tehranpars, South Jannatabad, and Salsabil, chanting, “Death to the dictator.” In the Chitgar district, the youths clashed with the regime’s forces, who fired at people’s houses. Young people set fire to a large Khamenei banner on Dowlat Street and chanted, “Death to the dictator” and “We will fight, we will die, we will take back Iran” in the Vali-e Asr subway. Suppressive forces opened fire on people in Tehranpars.

Sanandaj residents started their demonstrations in different parts of the city on Wednesday morning and continued demonstrating and clashing with suppressive agents until late at night. Protesters in other areas of the city, including Imam Reza Square, Kamkar Street, Dr. Hosseini Blvd., Molavi Township, Mehr Maskan, Taftan, and Kargar closed the streets by lighting fire and took control of some streets. Security forces in different parts of Sanandaj, especially in the Hajiabad neighborhood, destroyed private properties, broke cars’ windows, and opened fire at houses. The youths clashed with the security agents in various areas, including Molavi, Taftan, Kamkar, and Kargar. In Marivan, people chanted, “We are all Mehsa; fight, and we will fight back.”

Other cities, including Saqqez, Bukan, Marivan, Isfahan, Tabriz, Shush, Karaj, Shiraz, Astara, etc., witnessed nightly demonstrations, lighting fires, and setting up roadblocks. Youths in Bukan blocked the Mahabad highway. In Isfahan, a nightly demonstration was held in Charbagh with people chanting, “Death to the Supreme Leader after many long years of crimes.” Tabriz residents shouted, “The people of Azerbaijan will not tolerate humiliation.”

Defiant youths in Hamedan attacked the Relief Committee in District 2, and in Ramsar and Vakil Abad in Mashhad, they set fire to a large banner with Khamenei’s image. In Shush, they set fire to the sign of the IRGC Ground Force Rangers Brigade and the Basij base.

On Wednesday morning, on the 40th day of the martyrdom ceremony of Hananeh Kia in Nowshahr, a large crowd chanted, “This year is a year of sacrifice, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” “Basij force, this is the end of you” and “Mullahs must get lost.” Suppressive forces opened fire on people outside the house of the martyr’s family. School students in Rudbar protested in the street, chanting “Death to the dictator.” Plainclothes agents attacked the students and arrested some, but the people attacked and got them released.
