Jordanian MP lambasts Iranian regime for violating international laws regarding Camp Ashraf

Tehran is using all the resources at its disposal against Iranian dissidents in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, in contravention of international laws, a member of the Jordanian Parliament told al-Babelyia TV on Tuesday.

Mahmoud al-Kharabsheh, who also heads the Arab Delegation in Support of Ashraf, underscored the Iranian regime’s plots against the 3,400 residents of Camp Ashraf, who are members of the main opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), and said, “Obviously these pressures and blackmail tactics violate international laws.”

“The residents of Ashraf are considered to be protected persons under international conventions and specifically the Fourth Geneva Convention and its protocols,” he added.

The Jordanian lawmaker also condemned the Iranian regime’s attempts to manipulate the Iraqi judiciary.
