Iraqi PM Maliki’s nephew killed fighting in Syria

NCRI – A nephew of the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki has been killed fighting in Syria, an Iranian regime’s news agency has reported.

The state-run Fars news agency on Monday published a message of condolence sent by mullah Lotfallah Safi Golpayegani to Maliki on ‘martyrdom’ of his nephew ‘defending’ holy sites in Syria.

During the past two weeks bodies of a number of Iraqis killed fighting in Syria alongside Bashar al-Assad’s forces had arrived in Iraq, according to reports by news agencies.

On May 17, two bodies, in coffins wrapped in Iraqi flags, were brought in form Iran to the southern Iraqi city of Basra by four-wheel-drive vehicle, an AFP correspondent reported.
