Iraqi Militias tied to Iranian regime carry out assassinations

Special groups tied to the Iranian regime have been carrying out terrorist attacks and assasinations in Baghdad in recent weeks, according to the Iraqi daily Assabah on January 9.

The paper said a source revealed that the Asaeb al-Haq group, which is affiliated with the Iranian regime, uses guns equipped with silencers and has access to detailed intelligence about its targets.

The TV channel Al-Rafedin reported that the group assassinated officials of the Interior and Defence ministries in recent weeks.

The sources added that some of the groups coordinating their activities with the Iranian regime’s intelligence services do not operate under any specific names.
