Iran Uprising – No. 50

VOICING SUPPORT FOR THE IRAN UPRISING, URGING THE UN TO DISPATCH FACT-FINDING MISSION TO VISIT THOSE ARRESTED
On Human Rights Day, Iranians residing in the Netherlands gathered outside the Dutch Parliament, voicing support for the Iranian people’s uprising and deploring the European countries’ silence and inaction vis-à-vis the massacre of protesters in Iran.

They demanded that the Netherlands and the European Union decisively condemn the clerical regime, underscoring that economic and political ties with the religious fascism ruling Iran are illegitimate and must stop. The protesters marched from the Parliament to the Foreign Ministry building and lighted torches to pay homage to the martyrs of the uprising.

The same day, Iranian supporters of the Resistance organized an exhibition of the pictures of the martyrs in the Iran uprising and those massacred in 1988 outside the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm. In addition to Iranians, many residents and personalities in Stockholm visited the exhibition and paid respects to the martyrs.
