Iran: The Coronavirus Fatalities Exceed 368,400

In two unprecedented records in the last 24 hours, the regime’s Health Ministry declared 50,228 new COVID-19 patients, 7,424 of whom were in critical condition in ‌‌ICU.


Alireza Zali, head of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT) in Tehran: We have 9,860 COVID-19 patients in Tehran. There are 2,700 patients in ICU, 2,600 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, but only 1,700 patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours. (ISNA news agency, August 17, 2021)
Mashhad University of Medical Sciences: The number of COVID-19 patients in the Province is so large that no emergency department can respond. We have a lack of oxygen, hospital beds, and stretchers. We have gone beyond the Coronavirus pandemic and have entered a tsunami of infection. (IRNA news agency, August 17, 2021)
Isfahan and Kashan Medical Universities: 51 COVID-19 patients lost their lives in the past 24 hours in Isfahan.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 547 cities is more than 368,400. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 86,696, Isfahan 24,630, Khorasan Razavi 23,985, Khuzestan 22,976, Mazandaran 14,310, East Azerbaijan 13,763, Lorestan 13,345, West Azerbaijan 13,103, Fars 12,902, Gilan 12,235, Sistan and Baluchestan 10,915, Alborz 10,798, Qom 10,590, Kerman 9,358, Golestan 8,790, Hamedan 7,428, Central Province 7,248, Yazd,6,428,Hormozgan 6,360, Kurdistan 5,937, Ardabil 4,490, Bushehr 4,244, Qazvin 4,104, Zanjan 3,820, South Khorasan 3,381, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 2,774.
