In a letter to the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State James Cleverly, MP Bob Blackman underscored significant concerns regarding the recent indictment of 104 members of the Iranian Resistance by the Iranian regime’s judiciary.

According to Mr. Blackman’s letter, the move, seen as a strategic ploy by the Iranian regime, aims to escalate domestic executions and suppression while simultaneously creating fabricated convictions against the People’s Mojahedin Organization (PMOI/MEK) for domestic purposes.

These fabricated convictions are intended to be used as leverage to invoke Interpol, and intimidate, and harass opposition members in Europe. The letter underscores the Iranian regime’s history of providing false evidence to European governments, pressuring them into limiting the activities of Iranian pro-democracy opposition in Europe and beyond.

Additionally, it draws attention to the regime’s extensive propaganda efforts and its alarming increase in executions as a means of quelling dissent. Mr. Blackman’s letter also appeals for international action and accountability for the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses and terrorism.
