Iran: 1269 people arrested in Tehran in a week

The commander of the Greater Tehran’s State Security Forces (SSF), Hossein Sajedinia, has said that 1,269 people have been arrested in a week in Tehran. He said the detentions were carried out under the regime’s suppressive pretext of “social security.”

The Deputy Commander of the SSF, Ahmad-Reza Radan, also warned that the regime will not “show any leniency when it comes to the social and moral security.” He added, in addition to the SSF, 26 other suppressive organs of the regime are implementing the suppressive “chastity and veiling” plan.
