Payam Shakiba, a political prisoner, a political prisoner in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran in Iran, wrote the following message marking International Labor Day.

“In this time period and following the 2017/2018 uprising, and considering the explosive status of our society, the Iranian regime lacks the ability to respond to any of the numerous crises it is facing.

This regime is literally in a limbo and facing an increasing number of dilemmas with each passing day. Rifts and endless divides, redemption amongst ranks and files, and widespread corruption practiced by almost all individuals linked to the regime, all coupled with the end of the appeasement policy and international concessions that are now leading to further isolation for the Iranian regime in the region, the Islamic World and the world over, have delegitimized regime inside and outside Iran.
