German FM underscores threat of nuclear-armed mullahs in Iran

In an interview on Wednesday, Germany’s Foreign Minister underscored the dangers of an Iranian regime armed with nuclear weapons.

Guido Westerwelle told the German daily Rheinische Post, “Let’s assume Iran has a nuclear arsenal. How long would it take for other countries to obtain the same capability – and how much will the risk of terrorist networks getting their hands on nuclear weapons or dirty bombs, increase?”

Westerwelle added that Germany will use its status at the UN Security Council to confront the root causes of global terrorism.
