French FM warns Iranian regime over defiance in nuclear row

Unless the Iranian regime addresses international concerns about its nuclear program it will face more punitive measures, the French Foreign Minister warned on Monday.

According to Radio France’s website, Michèle Alliot-Marie said France is aware of the threats emanating from the Iranian regime and will take a tough stance against the regime.

She was quoted as saying, “France will not allow Iran to affect regional and global stability and will not accept an Iran equipped with nuclear weapons.”

Alliot-Marie warned that if the Iranian regime fails to alleviate worries about its nuclear intentions, it will have to bear the brunt of more extensive economic punishments.
