Albanian police and media reported the arrest of an agent of the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), with initials B.P. A police statement on October 10 stated that the individual had been arrested for committing criminal acts, including “‘illegal interception of computer data’ and ‘interference in computer systems,’ interference in computer data’ as well as ‘misuse of equipment,’” adding that “through various actions, (he) communicated through a network messaging application, which he used by linking it to the mobile phone numbers” to listen and track them.

This person, whose full name is Bijan Pooladrag, was expelled by the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI) in September 2019. During the past 13 months, the MEK provided him with more than 420,000 Lek on humanitarian grounds. Records, documents, and reasons for his expulsion are available and can be published and submitted to any court of law. According to Albanian media, Pooladrag was suspected of spying on the MEK telephones and computer communications in Albania for the Iranian regime.

Several MOIS agents live in Albania. The MEK had previously exposed them and provided their records to the relevant authorities, including Ehsan Bidi, Daniel Kasraei, Gholamreza Shekari, Gholam Ali Mirzaei, and Hassan Heyrani.

Ehsan Bidi was arrested in August 2019 after being convicted and was deported from Albania. MOIS agent, Daniel Kasraei, who was expelled from Albania in August 2020, was spying on the MEK under the guise of a journalist. Gholamreza Shekari, who was used by the regime’s embassy to spread disinformation against the MEK, was arrested last September on criminal charges and is now in prison. The regime’s embassy had conditioned allowing the return to Iran of Gholam-Ali Mirzaei, another MOIS recruited agent, on demonizing the MEK. Mirzaei did soon September 20 in a program aired by the Persian service of the BBC. Another MOIS agent, who had also been used in the BBC hit piece against MEK, is Hassan Heyrani. He was previously exposed in a statement issued by the Security and Counterterrorism Committee on NCRI, on August 11, 2020. Given the regime’s terrorist activities in Albania and France and reminding the regime’s security threats throughout Europe, the Iranian Resistance reiterates the need to prosecute and expel MOIS, IRGC and Quds Force agents, and mercenaries.
