NCRI logoFrightened by the expanding protests, Iran’s clerical regime has stepped up executions. The regime hanged 11 prisoners, including a prisoner in Shiraz, seven Baloch prisoners in Zahedan and Zabul, and three prisoners in Qom, on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Three prisoners in Yazd, including a woman, two prisoners in Birjand, two prisoners in Isfahan, and one prisoner in Qom were hanged on Thursday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 20, respectively.

These brought to 54 the number of executions recorded between June 21 and July 20, among whom were eight Baloch and eight Kurdish compatriots. The number of executions registered in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar stands at least 226.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the international community to take urgent action to save the lives of thousands of death row prisoners in various Iranian prisons.
